Originally from Detroit and currently based between San Francisco and Los Angeles, James connects deep musical roots to every frame he shoots. After a decade writing and producing with some of the biggest names in music, he has transitioned full-time to his original love - the visual arts - where his rhythmic instincts give his directing style a distinctive flow.

James creates visual stories for a broad range of clients, from fashion brands to biotech innovators. He strives to combine the authentic spirit of 70s cinema with modern techniques and an energetic, collaborative spirit.
